On Tuesday, December 13th, the common floor of 52Nijmegen was festively re-opened after a well-deserved refurbishment. Hubert Bruls, Mayor of Nijmegen, had the honor to press the button to officially re-open the modernized facilities.

The official opening took place during the Kadans Winter Event, an annual get-together where Kadans community members can meet in a festive setting. In addition to Mayor Bruls, Reinoud van den Heuvel, Director & Head of Asset Management at Kadans Science Partner, and Charles Smit, Head of Corporate Affairs at Nexperia, shared their views on how the renewed facilities can support meetings and innovation. Both daily users of 52Nijmegen and campus members from the neighboring buildings on Noviotech Campus joined the event for drinks and new connections.

The building ’52Nijmegen’ is a prominent part of the Nijmegen Skyline. With its height of 86 meters and 18 floors filled with innovation, the building is a true eye-catcher for this innovative region. 52Nijmegen thanks its name to the special 52-degree bend in the façade. The landmark offers over 25,000 m2 of rentable floor space of both offices and laboratories. Thanks to the refurbishment, the common space on the ground floor now offers a modernized warm welcome when you enter the building. The restaurant has been completely updated, and new meeting rooms were created. Everything is designed to encourage meaningful connections.

Scientific organisations have the power to change the world. And if you’re changing the world, you need more than just a standard workspace.
