Manchester, March 23, 2023 – Kadans Science Partner, McLaren Property, Property Alliance Group, Moda and Pioneer Group are working collaboratively to deliver an exciting masterplan for Upper Brook Street, Manchester. The consortium has launched a public consultation as part of a transformative vision to deliver an exemplary new neighbourhood for the city.
The plans will bring forward a new mixed-use development, providing much needed R&D space and purpose-built student accommodation, complemented by a mix of ground floor uses and enhanced public realm.
Kadans will deliver a new, sci-tech building designed by our in-house team alongside specialist professionals. Robustness and adaptability are core to the building philosophy providing highly efficient floorplates with interconnecting communal spaces that provide a sustainable platform to inspire innovation and accommodate the ever-changing scientific landscape.
Working from the inside out, everything from the structural grid, ceiling heights, servicing, and operational strategy has been baked into the design. Coupled with informed space planning, the design promotes movement and enhances the quality of internal spaces bringing a step-change in knowledge-focused building design.
