Frequently Asked Questions regarding COVID-19 measures

Yes, all Kadans buildings are open and have remained open during the pandemic. In order to keep working in the buildings safe for both tenants and visitors, Kadans follows the guidelines provided by the Dutch government and RIVM.

Kadans wants to keep working in their buildings safe for both tenants and visitors. In order to do so, measures have been taken in the buildings and a set of instructions apply, based on the instruction lined up by the RIVM. The basic instructions are:

  • Feel welcome in our building and act responsibly
  • If you have a sore throat, cough, fever and/or other flu-like symptoms: stay home!
  • It is advised to give each other space
  • Follow the instructions and follow the signage
  • Follow the indicated walking routes
  • Use the lift as indicated, take the stairs if possible
  • Wash your hands regularly

Each building also has its own implemented set of measures, based on the structure of the building. These measures have been separately communicated with all tenants and can be found on the signage in the building for visitors.

Yes, visitors are welcome in the building. Please remind your visitor of the instructions issued by Kadans in order to keep working in the building safe for everyone.

In line with the Dutch government recommendations, a mask is currently not required in public spaces.

Kadans does not set rules for the leased spaces, so whether or not you have to wear a mask in the offices is up to the lessee to decide. Within the leased spaces, the lessee can set rules for their employees and is responsible for following the measures taken set by the Dutch government.

Entries are equipped with a sanitizing station. It is recommended to sanitize your hands upon entering the building and then follow further signage and instructions.

It is currently no longer necessary to keep 1,5 meters distance from others. We do however recommend you give each other space, also when using the lift.

It is currently no longer necessary to keep 1,5 meters distance to others. This means one-way traffic is no longer needed on the stairs.

Yes, meeting rooms can still be booked. While all meeting rooms can be rented at full capacity again, it is recommended to still keep 1.5 meters distance as much as possible.

Yes, earlier this year we have instructed our cleaning partners to increase the amount of cleaning in the common areas. This includes shared tables as well as often-touched contact points.

On some locations there might be one-way traffic implemented. If this is the case, signage will clearly tell you which way to go. Examples of one-way traffic are the use of entrances just for entering OR leaving and using staircases for solely up or downwards traffic.

Please inform Kadans by sending an e-mail to corona@kadans.com. Follow the instructions from the Dutch government, RIVM and GGD.

Employers are asked to inform Kadans when one of their employees tests positive for COVID-19 by sending an e-mail to corona@kadans.com. With the consent of the infected and the tenant, other tenants will be informed about the risks.

Yes, the Kadans team is present as much as possible in the building. If not present, you can always contact your local Facility Coordinator by phone or e-mail.

Yes, the receptionists have continued to work on location and receptions remain open. Please give each other space at the receptions and follow the instructions given by the receptionist or hospitality employee.

Kadans does not set rules for the amount of people allowed in leased spaces. Within the leased spaces, the lessee can set rules for their employees and is responsible for following the measures taken by the Dutch government. Kadans does not set a maximum amount of people for each floor. Organizations are responsible for their own leased spaces and can set rules for their employees to ensure their safety. In general, there are no restrictions to the amount of people allowed on a floor, though you have to keep 1.5 meter distance to others at all times.

If your building has shared coffee machines, you are still allowed to use these shared facilities. We do however ask you to wash your hands before using the machine and to give space to people using the machine before you.

The restaurant in 52Nijmegen is currently open.

You are allowed to have lunch in the Canteen. Please use the provided materials to clean the table after use.  At this moment we are working on a new concept to offer daily lunch in the Canteen.

The ventilation systems in the Kadans buildings are adjusted to provide safe, clean air. They are set to not recirculate the same air within the rooms. The systems differ from building to building, for each building a plan was made to adjust the system to ensure safe air circulation, to prevent the further spread of COVID-19.

When the building has to be evacuated due to an emergency, all measures are lifted. Find your way out via the usual escape routes. When an emergency happens, temporary measures such as one-way routes are not in effect. When outside at the assembly point, please keep distance to others again and await further instructions.

The responsibility to have enough BHV officers present lies with your own organization as usual.
