Yes, all Kadans buildings are open and have remained open during the pandemic. In order to keep working in the buildings safe for both tenants and visitors, Kadans follows the guidelines provided by the Dutch government and RIVM.
Kadans wants to keep working in their buildings safe for both tenants and visitors. In order to do so, measures have been taken in the buildings and a set of instructions apply, based on the instruction lined up by the RIVM. The basic instructions are:
Feel welcome in our building and act responsibly
If you have a sore throat, cough, fever and/or other flu-like symptoms: stay home!
It is advised to give each other space
Follow the instructions and follow the signage
Follow the indicated walking routes
Use the lift as indicated, take the stairs if possible
Each building also has its own implemented set of measures, based on the structure of the building. These measures have been separately communicated with all tenants and can be found on the signage in the building for visitors.
In line with the Dutch government recommendations, a mask is currently not required in public spaces.
Kadans does not set rules for the leased spaces, so whether or not you have to wear a mask in the offices is up to the lessee to decide. Within the leased spaces, the lessee can set rules for their employees and is responsible for following the measures taken set by the Dutch government.
On some locations there might be one-way traffic implemented. If this is the case, signage will clearly tell you which way to go. Examples of one-way traffic are the use of entrances just for entering OR leaving and using staircases for solely up or downwards traffic.
Employers are asked to inform Kadans when one of their employees tests positive for COVID-19 by sending an e-mail to email@example.com. With the consent of the infected and the tenant, other tenants will be informed about the risks.
Yes, the receptionists have continued to work on location and receptions remain open. Please give each other space at the receptions and follow the instructions given by the receptionist or hospitality employee.
Kadans does not set rules for the amount of people allowed in leased spaces. Within the leased spaces, the lessee can set rules for their employees and is responsible for following the measures taken by the Dutch government. Kadans has organized a webinar with tips for implementing measures within your office/lab. You can replay the webinar and download the slides here.
Kadans does not set a maximum amount of people for each floor. Organizations are responsible for their own leased spaces and can set rules for their employees to ensure their safety. In general, there are no restrictions to the amount of people allowed on a floor, though you have to keep 1.5 meter distance to others at all times.
If your building has shared coffee machines, you are still allowed to use these shared facilities. We do however ask you to wash your hands before using the machine and to give space to people using the machine before you.
The ventilation systems in the Kadans buildings are adjusted to provide safe, clean air. They are set to not recirculate the same air within the rooms. The systems differ from building to building, for each building a plan was made to adjust the system to ensure safe air circulation, to prevent the further spread of COVID-19.
When the building has to be evacuated due to an emergency, all measures are lifted. Find your way out via the usual escape routes. When an emergency happens, temporary measures such as one-way routes are not in effect. When outside at the assembly point, please keep distance to others again and await further instructions.
