Something new has been developed at Wageningen Campus and we cannot wait to show you around! Plus Ultra III Wageningen is our brand-new multi-tenant building, created to bring researchers, entrepreneurs, and innovators in food under one roof.
The building’s unique wooden design and spacious atrium reflect its forward-looking spirit: open, welcoming, and built with sustainability in mind during every step of the way.
With pilot plants, flexible laboratory and office spaces, start-up spaces and shared facilities, Plus Ultra III is ready to provide you with anything you need to succeed.
Join us for the big reveal! During the launch you will get to know what inspired the unique design, meet the community and get a first look around the building.

Petra is passionate about innovation and enjoys advancing new ideas, combining her technical background with an enthusiasm for sustainable collaborations and adding value to the world we live in.
Petra has a biotechnological background. After completing her PhD research, she worked as a process technologist and open innovation manager in the food industry, with experience in both Europe and Asia. Now she contributes to Greencovery as Food application and Co-creation Manager, leading the development of food applications using Greencovery’s upcycled ingredients. This role bridges technical execution with partner collaboration by designing and testing product prototypes, co-creating solutions with clients, and translating ingredient functionality into market-relevant applications.
Speaker
Jan Broeze is senior scientist at Wageningen Food & Biobased Research. He combines understanding of technological and logistic operations in quantitative models for supply chains. One of his focus areas is food loss and side stream valorization. He has amongst others developed a model that predicts yields from a biomass stream via diverse valorization pathways, including food ingredients, to consumer products, based on chemical composition information. Connected to that he estimates effects on environmental indicators.
Speaker
Maria Tzoumaki is the Director of Discovery and Open Innovation at Kalsec, where she leads strategic initiatives to accelerate innovation through cross-functional collaboration, scientific exploration, and external partnerships. With a strong background in food science and innovation management, Maria drives the development of natural ingredient solutions that align with Kalsec’s commitment to sustainability, clean-label excellence, and global market relevance. Before joining Kalsec, she has worked for various start-ups in the Dutch eco-system and has actually been one of the first tenants at PLUS ULTRA I back in 2016.

Being able to speak directly with such committed and helpful staff was a truly pleasant experience that we wouldn’t have enjoyed had we not attended the event.
