Scinus Cell Expansion moves to Plus Ultra Utrecht
Utrecht, 15 October 2026 – Scinus Cell Expansion (“Scinus”) has established its new base at Plus Ultra Utrecht, Kadans Science Partner’s (“Kadans”) newest innovation hub at Utrecht Science Park. As of 19 October 2026, the life sciences technology company occupies half of the eleventh floor. The flexibility of Plus Ultra Utrecht makes it possible to accommodate the specific laboratory and operational required with Scinus’ specialised activities, providing an environment that supports the company’s continued growth and development.
Founded in 2016, Scinus develops and commercialises innovative bioreactor technology for the scalable manufacturing of cells used in advanced therapies. Its Osilaris™ bioreactor platform enables controlled and automated cell expansion, supporting applications in cell therapy, regenerative medicine, and bioprocess development. Following a period in Zeist, Scinus’ move to Plus Ultra Utrecht brings the organisation to the heart of Utrecht Science Park. Their new location places the company within a concentrated ecosystem of researchers, entrepreneurs, and life sciences organisations – creating new opportunities for collaboration and knowledge exchange.
Scinus also works closely with ICAT, a centre for the development and manufacturing of advanced cell therapies, located on the first floor of Plus Ultra Utrecht, and has strategic partnerships with several regional and international cell therapy and regenerative medicine companies. This collaborative approach makes their location at Plus Ultra Utrecht a natural fit. Thus bringing the company closer to partners and other organisations working across the advanced therapies ecosystem.
Supporting the next phase of growth
The relocation follows an important period of development for Scinus. In 2019, the Demcon Group became a strategic investor and engineering partner. More recently in March 2026, Scinus completed a strategic investment round led by Myosotis Investments. This investment supports the company as it continues to advance its technology and strengthen Its position within the cell therapy and regenerative medicine market.
