Fire Incident at Rotterdam Science Tower – Kadans Reaffirms Commitment to Safety and Tenant Support
17 September 2025 – On Wednesday, 16 September, another fire incident occurred at the Rotterdam Science Tower, this time in a storage area within the building. Authorities suspect possible arson and have launched an official investigation.
Kadans Science Partner is deeply affected by these repeated incidents and places the safety and wellbeing of its tenants as an absolute priority. We are relieved to report that no injuries occurred during the recent events. Thanks to well-functioning technical systems and the swift response of tenants and staff in following evacuation procedures, the building was cleared in a safe and orderly manner. Emergency services were promptly alerted and acted with professionalism.
In response to the incident, additional safety measures have been implemented immediately, including enhanced camera surveillance, increased monitoring, and extra security patrols. Kadans remains closely involved in the situation, working in coordination with police, fire services, and other relevant authorities, while maintaining open communication with tenants regarding progress and actions taken.
At this time, every effort is being made to fully restore safety within the building. Current tenants have been informed accordingly. Once all repairs and safety checks are completed, the building will be reopened and fully operational.
