Flexible units start at approximately 50 m² and can accommodate organisations at different stages of growth. Up to 60% of each rental unit can be configured as laboratory space, with tenant-specific fit-outs available to meet individual operational requirements.
BSL1 and BSL2-ready wet lab infrastructure supports specialised research, while flexible, fully equipped i-HUB labs provide an accessible option for growing science and innovation teams. The result is a working environment that can evolve as your research, team and organisation develop.
Support for every stage of growth
Breakthrough innovation needs more than laboratory space. It requires an environment in which researchers can focus on their work while specialist teams take care of the infrastructure around them.
A dedicated on-site lab manager supports tenants throughout their tenancy, from fit-out coordination and move-in to day-to-day laboratory operations. Support is also available for BSL1 and BSL2 requirements, communication with authorities, logistics, security and operational coordination.
Combined with Kadans’ wider European network, this gives research-driven companies access to both specialist operational expertise and connections across science and industry.
A thriving innovation community
Plus Ultra Berlin is designed to make interaction part of everyday working life. The community atrium forms the social heart of the building, bringing together a barception, auditorium, flexible meeting areas and dining facilities in one open environment.
Formal meeting and conference spaces support workshops, presentations and focused discussions, while shared social spaces create opportunities for spontaneous conversations and new connections. The townhall provides a platform for events, knowledge sharing and exchange between science and industry.
This community extends beyond the building. Campus Charlottenburg brings together research institutes, universities, start-ups and technology companies across fields including Life Science Berlin, healthcare, AI, chemistry, photonics, energy and production.
