Skymab Biotherapeutics brings its anti-GPCR ADC expertise to The HIVE Innovation Center
Villejuif, 07/07/2026 – Kadans Science Partner is pleased to announce the arrival of Skymab Biotherapeutics at The HIVE Innovation Center, its laboratory and office building dedicated to the life sciences, located on the Campus Grand Parc in Villejuif.
The move provides Skymab with flexible, fully equipped laboratory and office space within one of Europe’s emerging oncology innovation environments. It also forms part of the support made available to the company following its selection as a laureate of the Paris-Saclay Cancer Cluster BOOST Grant, which aims to help high-potential oncology start-ups reach key development milestones.
Unlocking an underexplored class of cancer targets
G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) represent the largest family of cell-surface proteins and are the target of approximately half of all approved drugs, yet their potential in oncology has remained largely untapped by existing antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) therapies. Skymab Biotherapeutics was founded precisely to address this gap. A spin-off from the CEA, ranked the most innovative public research organisation in Europe, the company brings together deep expertise in GPCR biology and ADC engineering to develop a new generation of first- and best-in-class therapeutics for cancer patients with high unmet medical needs. Founded in 2019 and incubated at IncubAlliance Paris-Saclay, Skymab has built a proprietary pipeline of anti-GPCR ADC candidates targeting both solid tumours and haematological malignancies.
A Next-Generation ADC Platform Addressing Bone Marrow Toxicity and Resistance Mechanisms
At the heart of Skymab’s approach is a proprietary versatile ADC platform, Skylink combining tumor selective linker technology with novel and dual payloads and its identification expertise of best in class and first in class GPCR ADC optimal targets. The company has developed a tumor selective cleavable linker demonstrating superior anti-proliferative activity in vitro and stronger anti-tumour efficacy in vivo compared to clinically validated linker platforms. The resulting ADC constructs exhibit enhanced therapeutic index, with low MED and high HNSTD, fferentiated safety profile with no or low side effects including absence of hematological, ILD, ophthalmic, and hepatic side effects after high exposure, optimal serum stability across multiple species, and improved pharmacokinetic profiles relative to approved ADCs, pointing to a meaningful step forward in the design of next-generation cancer therapeutics.
Purpose-built infrastructure for science-first companies
The HIVE Innovation Center offers early-stage biotechnology companies fully equipped laboratory and office spaces under a flexible service agreement, allowing teams to concentrate on their science without the operational overhead of setting up standalone facilities. For a company like Skymab, where advancing a complex pipeline of preclinical candidates demands both agility and rigorous experimental capacity, this environment is particularly well-suited.
A location at the heart of France’s oncology ecosystem
The Campus Grand Parc in Villejuif places Skymab at the center of one of Europe’s foremost clusters for oncology research, within reach of leading hospitals, translational research institutes, and academic partners. This proximity to a rich clinical and scientific network creates the conditions for productive collaborations that can help bridge the gap between early-stage discovery and the clinic
Skymab’s installation at The HIVE also illustrates the practical value of the Paris-Saclay Cancer Cluster’s approach: combining targeted support, ecosystem access and operational solutions to help promising oncology companies accelerate their development.
“Joining The HIVE is an important step for Skymab as we continue to advance our next generation ADC pipeline. Beyond of providing state of the art infrastructure, Campus Grand Parc offers a uniquely vibrant innovationecosystem where daily interactions, and rich program of events create an environment that naturally foster collaboration, creativity and new opportunities. We are excited to become part of this ecosystem as we enter our next stage of development,” said Aiphi Nguyen, PharmD, Co-founder and CEO at Skymab Biotherapeutic Skymab Biotherapeutics.
“Skymab is a strong example of the innovative oncology companies the PSCC aims to support through the BOOST Grant. Its installation at The HIVE reflects our ambition to provide start-ups not only with funding, but also with access to the right environment, where expertise, infrastructure and scientific networking come together to accelerate innovation and to help them reach their next milestones,” explains Benjamin Garel, CEO at Paris-Saclay Cancer Cluster.
“We are proud to welcome Skymab Biotherapeutics, one of ten companies selected for the Paris-Saclay Cancer Cluster grant, to The HIVE — a testament to the strength of the ecosystem” declare Elise Colla, Head of Business Development at Kadans Science Partner
