October 26, 2026

Secretary of State Jonathan Reynolds joins CWG and Kadans Science Partner to mark the milestone

26 October 2026, London – One North Quay, London’s first purpose-built vertical science, technology and innovation campus, reached its 23-storey height at Canary Wharf today. CWG and Kadans Science Partner (Kadans), the campus developers, welcomed the Rt Hon Jonathan Reynolds as guest of honour to mark the milestone.

The campus will serve businesses at every stage of growth- from start-ups and scale-ups to global companies – with 570,000 sq ft of high-specification, future-ready workspace and laboratory space.

The campus will place 30,000 sq ft of shared amenities at its heart, bringing people together, supporting collaboration and enhancing the everyday experience. A rooftop terrace will offer panoramic views, while a lounge, boardroom, café and library will provide inviting spaces to meet, work, connect and recharge.

KPF conceived One North Quay as a “vertical campus” that provides flexible floorplates and future-ready infrastructure to enable fast-growing businesses to expand without the cost and disruption of relocating.

One North Quay will connect businesses with Canary Wharf’s investors and innovators, across its community of more than 180 start-ups and scale-ups including those based at the Kadans London Innovation Centre. One North Quay is adjacent to the Elizabeth line station and has access to world-class amenities, parks and waterside spaces all within a 10-minute walk.

CWG is jointly owned by Brookfield and the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), long-term investors in Canary Wharf’s transformation into one of Europe’s leading mixed-use urban districts.

Jonathan Reynolds, Secretary of State for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade said, “London’s constantly evolving skyline reflects the city’s strength as a centre of innovation, and the fact that companies from around the globe want to do business here.

The UK is a genuine world-leader in life sciences, and One North Quay will bolster that reputation, providing state of the art lab space for businesses to create the medicines and medtech of the future.”

Shobi Khan, CEO, CWG, said: “Today’s topping out is a major milestone for One North Quay and the UK’s science, technology and innovation sector. With Kadans, we are creating a campus where science, tech and AI businesses can start, scale and grow under one roof. Backed by new financing and connected to Canary Wharf’s community of more than 180 start-ups and scale-ups, One North Quay will give ambitious companies the space, connections and opportunities to succeed.”

Steijn Ribbens, CEO, Kadans Science Partner, said: “Topping out One North Quay brings us closer to delivering Europe’s tallest and most technically sophisticated purpose-built commercial science, technology and innovation campus — a home where businesses can grow and scale in the UK.

As a leading European developer and investor in science, technology and innovation ecosystems, Kadans creates specialist buildings that support tenants and the wider sector. One North Quay will help advance cutting-edge science, drive economic growth and reinforce London’s position as a leading global innovation hub.”

Elie Gamburg, Principal, KPF, said: “One North Quay is emerging as a building that brings people together, supports Canary Wharf’s evolution as an innovation district and shows that contemporary lab and tech workspace can be both sustainable and beautifully crafted. Its vibrant ceramic façades will create a warmer, more human-scaled model for innovation-led design.”

CWG and Kadans expect to complete One North Quay in early 2028.
