Kadans to tranform first Berlin acquisition into Life Science Innovation Hub
Kadans Science Partner have acquired the strategic 9,037 sqm property at Franklinstraße 8, in Berlin’s vibrant Charlottenburg district.
This acquisition marks Kadans’ first footprint in Berlin, one of the leading Life Science clusters in Germany and one of Germany’s most prominent hubs for innovation. The project, to be branded “Plus Ultra Berlin”, will become a state-of-the-art, multi-tenant lab and office complex with a unique riverside setting, expected to be delivered in Q2/2028.
Project overview
The Franklinstraße 8 site, situated along the banks of the Spree River, offers prime potential for Kadans’ signature approach to Life Science campuses, aligning with their commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration. Working with existing plans from Berlin-based architects Gewers Pudewill, Kadans will adapt and enhance the project to include approximately 30,000 sqm of lab and office space, optimized for sustainable development and high-tech infrastructure. Partnering with Munich-based Accumulata Group, Kadans aims to leverage Accumulata’s expertise as a service developer for project execution.
Kadans Science Partner was supported by the law firm McDermott Will & Emery and JLL during the acquisition. A5 Planung GmbH accompanied the DD process.
More information about the building, its location, and Kadans’ strategic vision for this project will be provided soon.
