The HIVE Innovation Center Opens its doors
Villejuif, 10 March 2026 – Kadans is pleased to announce the official opening of The HIVE Innovation Center, a plug-and-play space dedicated to accelerating early-stage start-ups and biotech companies within the Grand Parc Campus.
Campus Grand Parc: France’s Leading Campus for Oncology Research
Located at the heart of a world‑class scientific ecosystem, Campus Grand Parc has established itself as the leading oncology campus. It brings together academic researchers, clinicians, industry players and entrepreneurs around a shared goal: accelerating the development of innovative solutions against cancer.
As a genuine catalyst for innovation, Campus Grand Parc supports biotechnology projects from the academic phase — emerging from fundamental and translational research laboratories — through to the early stages of industrialisation. This continuum, rare in Europe, promotes technology transfer, project maturation and the transformation of scientific advances into concrete therapeutic solutions.
A Strategic Need Identified by Local Stakeholders
Key players in the district, including the PSCC and the Île‑de‑France Region, identified a missing link in the oncology biotech value chain: a transitional space between academic research and larger‑scale industrial facilities.
Upon leaving academic laboratories, many start‑ups face a critical challenge: quickly accessing suitable spaces compliant with scientific and regulatory standards while maintaining agility and cost‑control.
To meet this strategic need, these partners decided to support the creation of the Innovation Center within The HIVE.
Designed as a “plug‑and‑play” environment, the Innovation Center aims to support and accelerate the growth of biotechnology companies by offering an immediately operational and scalable setting.
The HIVE Innovation Center: A Ready‑to‑Use Accelerator
Recently awarded the “Grand Lieu d’Innovation” label, The HIVE Innovation Center has been specifically developed to support early‑stage biotechnology companies and start‑ups. Designed in close collaboration with the Paris Saclay Cancer Cluster (PSCC), Medicen Paris Region, the Île‑de‑France Region and as part of the France 2030 programme, it has been shaped to address the needs of entrepreneurs and scientific teams as precisely as possible.
The Innovation Center provides flexible laboratory and office spaces, supported by a dedicated range of services tailored to the requirements of preclinical and translational research. By fostering interaction between companies, researchers, clinicians and industrial partners, The HIVE cultivates an environment conducive to high‑value scientific and technological collaboration.
The opening of the Innovation Center is now underway, with several tenants having already confirmed their arrival. The first two will move in shortly, marking an important step in the strengthening of the ecosystem.
